And if you run into 16:9 content, LG UX 6.0 includes a feature that'll let you easily view it on the G6's 18:9 screen. Unlike a 16:9 display, the height of the display is exactly twice of the width, and in fact to be mathematically correct, it is a 2:1 aspect ratio.
Thanks to the new Square GUI, LG said, multiple old and new features will split the 18:9 screen cleanly into two 1:1 ratio squares. In a new teaser for the handset, we get a small sample on how the G6 will utilize the display.
While this sounds very unusual thing to do, LG claims that it will allow for a better multitasking on the LG G6 smartphone.
Given the 18:9 aspect ratio of the screen (which, let's face it, is a bigger fancier way of saying 2:1) and the multi-window capability of Android 7.0 Nougat, the G6 will be able to run apps side-by-side in flawless squares.
LG has announced it'll feature its new mobile UX 6.0 in its upcoming G6 smartphone specifically customized to maximize the advantages of the device's expansive FullVision display. The wider viewing angle will allow more information to be loaded on-screen during searches and e-book reading. A new Food Mode also adds additional saturation and colour for when shooting, you guessed it, food.
Toshiba delays earnings results till March
Stricter safety standards after the 2011 Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan added to the cost of plants in China and the U.S. According to Tokyo Stock Exchange rules, Toshiba had until noon today to deliver its quarterly financial results.
"The dimensions of the phone are ergonomically created to ensure maximum comfort and compatibility with existing and upcoming digital content", says LG.
The display on the upcoming G6 covers the front of the phone entirely, LG says that the phone's dimensions to designed in such a way that they would ensure maximum comfort and compatibility with digital content. Finally, between 2-100 images can be combined to make a GIF.
When taking square photos, the display is split into two ideal halves: one reserved for the viewfinder, the other, for previewing already taken pictures. Also, the Camera app has a 1:1 mode for Instagram-ready pictures and a way to review the photo in one window while the Camera is still open. I think users will appreciate the many ways we've made the LG G6 more productive.
The G6 will offer improved multi-tasking features, too.
