Thank a police officer.

"I hope you will join me in showing the law enforcement community that their elected representatives recognize the difficulties and dangers that officers encounter every day in public service to us all. Without the hard work, dedication, and bravery of our men and women in police uniforms, this country would be a far worse place to live".

Critics say it's just a job, but for the men and women who make up Pennsylvania's law enforcement community, it's a calling to protect and serve the citizens of Pennsylvania.

Orca that killed trainer in 2010 dies in Orlando SeaWorld park
SeaWorld said in a statement that the killer whale had a "persistent and complicated bacterial lung infection" before his death. SeaWorld ended its orca breeding program previous year amid widespread criticism of parks that keep the creatures in captivity.

"Our law enforcement officers occupy the fine line between good and evil, standing between us and those that wish to do harm to our families", Schuette said.

See a police officer? This is completely intolerable, and we, as a society, must hold accountable anyone who targets police officers simply because they have the courage and the selflessness to wear the badge each and every day. These are courageous men and women that put their personal safety at risk. "We encourage all to show their support of our law enforcement". They can put up a social media profile picture that supports law enforcement, wear blue clothing, send a card of support to the local police department or participate in Project Blue Light by proudly displaying a blue light at home. The number of law enforcement officers in MI has dropped by 18 percent since 2001, falling from 22,500 to 18,500 officers.
