His ongoing feud with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to be a topic of discussion. The photo of PM having food with BJP leaders was shared on Modi's official website which says that the PM had his meal amongst 26,000 booth-level workers, who had come from over 1700 booths in Uttar Pradesh.

Prasad further said the Amethi MP is silent on the scams by members in the erstwhile UPA government.

Earlier this month, Rahul Gandhi, while giving a speech in Mehsana, claimed that PM Narendra Modi had taken Rs.40 Crore from Sahara before becoming the Prime Minister of India.

A response to the Prime Minister's statements by Gandhi is expected at the rally today.

The Congress leader, who had undertaken a "Deoria to Delhi" padayatra to highlight the plight of farmers, said he had met the Prime Minister to seek waiver of farmers' loans but the latter was non-committal. "Now speak the truth", Gandhi said to applause by the huge crowd.

Quoting Gandhi, the Congress tweeted that Modi takes bribes and then shamelessly foists demonetisation on Indians under the garb of fighting black money. Had he not spoken, the county would have faced a big quake. He also recited a dialogue from the movie Namak Halal to hit out at the PM. "I'm being attacked that before taken such big decision he could not study the consequences of the same", he said, adding that we had studied a lot but accepted that we could not realize that to protect the black money holders, political parties would join hands.

Appealing to people to bear the hardships caused by scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, he said a cleanliness campaign has been launched and the "stink" raised during cleaning of garbage which is scattered everywhere is the same that the country is feeling now. The high-octane campaign has seen him question the Prime Minister's integrity when he ask whether Mr Modi, as Gujarat CM, got pay offs from the Sahara and the Birla group.

Rahul Gandhi was referring to documents recovered by the I-T department during raids on the Sahara Group and the Aditya Birla Group. "We want you [Modi] to come forward and tell the country yourself", Gandhi said. Gandhi told a party meeting on Wednesday in Gujarat.
